Continuing my thought from yesterday…what motivates you?

4. Our church…most of my blog readers don’t attend CFAN, so I will write this as if I am talking to those of you that are not with me weekly. My church motivates me tremendously. I am not one of those pastors that are embittered towards his people. I love my people, and yes, I have clowns, screw ups, misfits, and characters, but it makes life all the much better seeing them go after God. It is because I absolutely want the best for my leaders, my staff, and my people that I train to be better.

5. My wife…what guy doesn’t want to look like a stud for his woman? I know I do. I love it when something good goes our way, when something good comes out of me that surprises us both, or just simply…the desire to make her proud…whatever you want to call it…she makes me one happy dude.

6. My city…I have a true love for my city. I want to see God touch our neighborhoods and free out city from the bondage it is under.

7. The Gospel…wow…what a motivating force…Do I need to say more?

8. The wolves among the sheep…Bad leaders, men and women with their own vision…vision hijackers. False teachers, preachers, enemies to the local church…I could go on and on, but I am motivated to protect our church from these people. They seem to be more prevalent now than ever.

Again…what is your motivating factors? What gets you going?
