I am almost afraid to come to church on September 7th and 14th. When God downloads vision into you it is a very very scary thing. You almost need to lock yourself away for a while to process it all. On those two Sunday mornings, we are discussing the future of our church. What it is going to look like in the years to come, and how we are going to reach our city for Christ. But, more importantly, it is about the journey that our church is going to take together as a family. And, trust me, it is going to be a wild ride.
The past few weeks, I have sat with some of my friends and family to share with them what God wants us to do. Most look at me with general fear and concern, others are excited, and I can tell that some are skeptical. I like that. It makes me trust God all the more when I secretly know others are sitting there doubting what God can do. I am coming to learn that all God needs is a man or woman totally committed to His will in order to do great things.
Faith is a living and unshakeable confidence, a belief in God so assured that a man would die a thousand deaths for its sake. ~ Martin Luther
God wants to do big things in us…no matter how difficult it may seem…all we need to do is hear, be willing, and obey. No man or woman can go wrong when God is at the helm…no matter how scary the vision might seem.
Have a great day!
