I want to thank our team. Really…thank you. I don’t say it enough…you really mean the world to me…and I consider it an honor to work, laugh, cry, fight, and serve along side of you.
Having said that…I started to think about what we could do in July that would be over the top…fun, but without all the work, and would give a rest to our team of volunteers. Each week it takes almost twenty people to pull off kid’s ministries, 20 or so to make frontline work, and the myriad of other ministries that work in unison to make every Sunday go off without a “hitch.”
So, we are going to do something completely unique this month…we are going to one service…starting July 6th at 10:30 and will continue until August 3rd and then on August 10th we go back to our regular service times. This is so we can give everyone a break and so that we can honor a special group of volunteers each week that are “Living Consumed” and then end on August 3rd with a special service honoring all our volunteers. It is going to be a great month. We are still doing our “Live Consumed” series. Here are the weeks and sermon titles.
- July 06th 10:30- Live Free (after our big 4th of July freedom celebration)
- July 13th 10:30- Live Bold
- July 20th 10:30- Live Selfless
- July 27th 10:30- Live Passionate
- August 3rd 10:30- Special service to honor our volunteers and send off for our youth camp. (This service is going to be incredible!)
What a great month coming up…I can’t wait. This is going to be one of the most unique and profound series.

And….now introducing Dawn Barthelette!
Our Creative Team director has her own blog now. She is doing a great job and, quite frankly, the load that she is taking off my back is so welcome. I am excited about getting to see her thoughts written out. (kind of scared too)
You can check out her blog under my cfan blogroll or click here.

I have an unlimited source of material….I could keep going on like this for years.
We have such an awesome group of people! It is amazing to see them workand laugh while doing it.
Today’s leader is…Don Frazier.
I love this guy! Other than the fact that he can kill you in like 2.1 seconds…he is a pretty nice guy. Very humble…incredible work ethic…extremely smart…and I love his passion just to serve. He is the epitomy of servanthood. He is a pretty solid guy and loves his wife and family.
Keep it up Don! You are an awesome man of God.
Scott C. is an old school rocker…he never really made it out of the eighties.
So, when I saw this…I thought of him. Some of the music is more current, but you know he has some Metallica and Guns and Roses laying around!

Today is John Michael’s 9th Birthday.
I love my son with all my heart. He is a great kid. Funny, athletic, but most importantly, he loves God. He has just a sweet and tender heart towards the Lord. He is goofy and loves the same kind of shows that I do. It makes it easy to hang out and watch some good stuff together. He is the best little companion a man could ever ask for…
But, he has no mercy on me at Halo3. The beatings are endless and come often. I am beginning to regret buying that game.
Happy Birthday… JM!
