I can remember SO many times begging God to use me & tell me what it was that He wanted me to do, but I don't think any of us are prepared for what happens when we ask those things. I know I wasn't!
In life, we build these walls around ourselves to protect ourselves from certain situations based on things we have been through. Unfortunately though, in order for God to use us to the extent that He wants to, not only do those walls need to be broken down, but WE need to be broken down. It's so hard and it's so painful to go through because you’re being confronted with things you are not comfortable with and would much rather NOT deal with, but we can either run from it and stay where we are, or we can let Him break us, draw closer to Him, rely on Him for the strength to get through it, and allow Him to mold us.
How much God can use us depends on US.
