a spirit of maybe-lessons from an armor bearer (part 2)

Ok, so here is part two of being an armor-bearer. I will come back and give insights to some of these points tomorrow.

6. If, you are calling yourself an armor-bearer so people can think you are important, think again…you have missed the point.

7. If, you have to be recognized for everything you do in front of others, you are in it for the wrong reasons.

8. If, you don’t spend time with God, and let Him showing you the reasons for why you are doing it, you don’t get it.

9. If, you don’t have a good work ethic then armor-bearing is not for you.

Tomorrow is time to look at some scripture and wrap it up…thanks again for reading Pastor’s blog…hope this dog will hunt. :)

Armor Bearing Part 1

When asked to be a guest blogger for Pastor Michael and write about armor-bearing, I freaked out. Then I took a deep breath and started looking over the last eight years that I have been serving him as an armor-bearer. I want to give you some insights that I have observed over the years. Hopefully, they are useful for you. Well, here it goes.

1. Serving as some ones’ armor-bearer in ministry is
just that- serving.

2. You are not there to correct them, you are there to
support them.

3. You are not the only one that can help them.

4. Sometimes just covering them with prayer is not enough. Sometimes you have to pray and
work hard.

5. You are going to make mistakes. Tomorrow...I'll put up the rest of the list...Have a great day! Scott Curington Armor-Bearer and all around decent guy

Service opener from Buckhead Church

Check out this opening from Buckhead Church…

This is probably the best service opener I have ever seen. If I went to their church that morning they would have certainly gotten my attention. I love the fact that people are willing to try some new things that are outrageous and relevant.

What I don’t understand is how the crowd could just sit there and not move…I mean not even a head bob.  Oh well!

Great post
