This weekend
Wow…it has been non-stop this week. (Thus the lack of new blogs)…but we are looking forward to one of the biggest Christmas weekends we have ever seen as a church…Sunday morning is going to be the best….the sanctuary has been transformed to demonstrate…Light! I can’t wait we have some awesome things planned. Get here early seating will be limited…
Jammin with Santa is going to be alot of fun. I can’t wait to see Santa and sit in his lap. (I guess the kids can too) :) Please get here early on Sunday night…and enjoy the Christmas lights, food, drinks and family fun.
I am going to take a much needed break next week…and I can’t wait for our end of the year service…it is going to be great! If, you haven’t sent your testimony in yet..please get them in quick…you can e-mail them to pastormichael@mycfan.com.
Can’t wait to see what God does this weekend.
The greatest enemy we face is….
ourselves.
The more time that I spend here on this little planet called Earth…the more I realize that it is me that keeps me from doing the things that I want to do, should do, or could do. It is a plain reality that all of us need to come to…but sadly, most do not. So, we get mad at our boss, because he is holding us back…or we attack our spouse because they must the messed up one…but really, it is us. Nathan looked at David and said, “You are that man!” Those four words had an impact on David like none other…someone got in his face and said…stop looking over your shoulder or looking across the room…”YOU ARE THAT MAN!”
The question that all of us need to ask is this…Am I shifting blame onto others for the lack of control, direction, and focus that my life has at this moment? But, ask yourself that and be real! Am I the man…that is holding me back from what God has for me? Am I the woman that is holding up my progress? Instead of becoming mad and bitter at those around you that plunge ahead, take risks, and produce fruit…get off your hindparts :) and do something about your circumstances.
Life is too short to blame others…it just is.
Recap for the third weekend in December
A little late…but here it goes…
- I don’t think that there has been a time in the history of our church where I have felt more excited about our future and where the church is heading.
- In December, when people say that you don’t grow…finances go down…we have had record attendances and giving…thank you CFAN keep it up.
- It was too windy for snow yesterday.
- theRefuge once again had a solid night. 2008 is their year…I know it!
- It was hot in the sanctuary yesterday…I mean hot…bad time for our breaker to get zapped, but hey, it happens.
- St. Joe’s was such an unbelievable experience…I mean unbelievable….I had such a good time and it was nice hanging with guys that wanted to be there. We rolled up in there and the lady was like, “uh, this is the largest crowd we have ever seen!” I was pumped to see our church double its efforts this year and go epic for some kids.
- We have some big things planned for our church in 2008. I can’t wait to see them unfold.
- We had lunch yesterday with Bob and Marilynn…what a sweet couple. We have known them for years and they have been great prayer warriors for the church.
- Keep the testimonies coming in…I have been weeping reading them. I haven’t had alot of time to respond to them…but I will.
- This Sunday is going to be amazing. I mean amazing…we are doing something that we have never done before…it could flop…but I have a feeling it is going to be incredible. Wonder…Aroma…Snow…Light…
- We are praying some crazy prayers right now and God is answering them.
- John Michael has continued his domination over me in Halo 3. :_(
Need your input and help…
I am going to do a sermon series in March called “Three.” I get e-mails from time to time asking me to preach on different topics. Maybe, there is something really stirring in you that you want Biblical answers on. So, I want to hear from you. I am going to preach the “three” most asked for topics. It can be anything. No, topic is off limits as long as it pertains to the Word. Don’t hold back…let me know.
(Some of examples of e-mails that I have recieved.)
- What does the Bible say about sex? Is it ok to have oral Sex?
- What does the Bible say about end times? Do you believe in the rapture?
- If my wife doesn’t believe in God can I divorce her?
You can e-mail me your suggestions at pastormichael@mycfan.com. I look forward to hearing from you.
Needless to say…you don’t want to miss the fireworks in March.
